Recording for Silent Movies

In February 2026, we had the chance to collaborate with the duo of Composers “Spring Vexation”, Nancy Johnstone and Niall Docherty who are exploring silent films and audio visual arts. The silent movies are “Emak-Bakia'“, a 1926 French Surrealist Film directed by Man Ray and “De Brug” (the Bridge), a 1928 Dutch documentary silent short film directed by Joris Ivens. We recorded the music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on February 6th 2026 and will look forward to see the final product showcased in an upcoming event!
